Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.
Marcus Aurelius

Hey, how's it goin' everyone. What I am, is a mom. What I'm not, is religious.

PASS THE PASTA AND POUR THE BEER!

Where did the first piece of matter originate? Where did your god originate? Do we have an explanation for either question? Not really. So why should I believe you? You’re making a claim on divine truth — so where’s your evidence? Your claim, so it’s also your burden of proof. Where did your god come from? If he could always be here, then why not matter?

The next time a Christian tells you that he/she will pray for you, ask yourself this question: “Why are they telling me?” Maybe there is an element of concern, but I personally find it condescending that such people are telling me that they are praying for me as if they are doing me some kind of favor, and that I should acknowledge it as such. Well, I don’t. If it were truly an act of altruism, they would pray for me without feeling some deep-seated need to tell me.

A PET'S TEN COMMANDMENTS.........
1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me
3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.
4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.
5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.
7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.
8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.
9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.
10 On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.

The Out Campaign: Scarlet Letter of Atheism
Charlie's Playhouse

This country was NOT founded on CHRISTIAN THOUGHT OR BELIEFS. The Founding fathers had no use whatsoever for Christianity or any other Religion. Most of them Detested Christianity openly. The country was primarialy founded on the Idea that there should be representative taxation. That there should not be a Federal State backed Religion was addressed by Thomas Jefferson, in his letter to the Danbury Baptist Association when they want to establish a State Religion, that there shouild be a seperation of church and state. That meant that NOT only should the State not be in the business of religion but religion should also not be in the business of the State. That system was why the prilgrams had left England because the State demanded that all belong to the State Church, The Church of England, that was set up by Henry the 8th. It never ceases to amaze me or many others with educations how the Christian Right absolutely refuses to face Historical Facts. Barry
